About Rishikesh

Rishikesh is where the Ganga leaves the mountains. Ashrams, the Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula areas and the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat and Parmarth Niketan give it a spiritual rhythm.

It is also India's best-known rafting stretch, with camps upstream at Shivpuri.
