About Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass connects the Kullu Valley with Lahaul and stays snowy for much of the year. Vehicle permits are required and the number of daily permits is limited, so we apply in advance for our guests.

The pass usually opens around May and closes with the first heavy snow in October or November. Since the Atal Tunnel opened, many travellers visit Sissu instead when Rohtang is closed.
