About Sissu

Sissu is the first village you reach in Lahaul after the 9 km Atal Tunnel from Manali. A tall waterfall drops above the Chandra river and the valley around it is far drier and starker than Kullu.

Because the tunnel stays open most of the year, Sissu is the easiest way to see snow from Manali, even when Rohtang Pass is closed.

Places to see

  • Atal Tunnel drive
  • Sissu waterfall
  • Chandra river
  • Sissu lake
  • Snow in winter
